Hi! My name is Connie (aka GrammaCracker)...
I've
been volunteering the past several weeks at our local historical
museum, cataloging the items they have. It's turned out to be a
monstrous task! They have sooooo much stuff! (I should live so long to complete this job.) But, I've
been thoroughly enjoying it. I'm learning a lot and having fun while
doing it. Today I decided to share my experience with those who may be
interested. I'm posting this to my newly created blog called "My Day at the Museum", with hopes that my readers will become interested in exploring our local history and get as engaged as I have in bringing up the past. (Not my past... that's only on a "need to know" basis.)Since this is a sudden idea that just popped into my head (google whim, and you'll understand); I haven't created a game plan yet. So, today I'm just going to share some pictures I took at the museum on one of the other days I was there. These are pictures of some valentines on display right now. Aren't they beautiful? Stop in at the museum and see the complete display.... but don't wait too long, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. This display will become history soon after. (Just a little play on words... History. Get it? Come on, that's what this is all about.)
My photography isn't too great. I just used my iPhone to take the pics. I'll try to take better pictures for future posts. This is just to start.
Today I was told that I've been appointed to be the webmaster for the museum's website, which hasn't been updated for years. I'm tickled pink over this, since computer nerd plays right into my Triple A, Double D personality. Confused? AAADD (Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder). Now you know. I'll keep you updated on my progress with this new task as I work on it. To see its current state, check here.
Well, that's it for today. TTFN (Ta Ta For Now)
Okay
